Tesoro


Tesoro is a violin-guitar duo specializing in French and vintage jazz of the 1920's-1940's. They also play Brazilian jazz, classical, pop, and special requests. The duo plays for weddings, corporate events, private parties, French-themed events and Gatsby-era events. Acoustic or electric instruments are used, depending on the needs and requests of the party hosts.
Some recent events Tesoro has been hired to play: 1920’s and Gatsby-themed events; French parties; Italian music festivals; jazz/classical/pop music for receptions, ceremonies and cocktail parties; Brazilian weddings and events; jazz and pop music for hotel grand openings.

Tesoro has also played in the Piccolo Spoleto festival, made television and radio appearances, and has regular public shows at Charleston and Savannah hotels, restaurants and historic venues.

Gina Guidarelli and Billy Kaiser

Gina and Billy are the husband and wife team of the jazz duo Tesoro.
Billy has a background in journalism and tv (specializing in sound equipment). Billy studied guitar at the world-renowned Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.
Gina has a foreign language background in addition to music. She speaks five languages (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, English). She does interpreting, translating and language teaching. Gina studied violin at the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut and currently plays with a local symphony.
The couple lives in Charleston, SC and enjoys playing music together and traveling.
